At AdWeek 2019, we were tasked to build a pop up activation aiming to educate consumers on their Facebook privacy settings. The pop up was live in the official AdWeek area on Broadway between 67th and 68th Streets for the Monday-Thursday of AdWeek.

INITAL ASK & PROCESS
The timeline of this project was rather interesting and worth noting. First off, Facebook came to We're Magnetic with a more immediate ask; to create a pop-up booth to live during AdWeek. We had approximately 2 weeks (from start to finish) in finalizing booth vendors/production, as well as creating the graphical treatment of the exterior and interior.
The initial conversations led us to create graphics that were more vibrant and expressive, however, we soon realized that was not the right direction for Facebook. The solve for this was us going back one step and creating additional moodboards to really figure out what the client wanted. Once we resolved that (they were drawn to visuals more closely to their brand guidelines), we moved forward and presented two new iterations and finalized from there.

HOW IT EXISTED
The exterior, plexiglass pedestrian facing wall had a headline and call to action which invited guests to come in and participate in a privacy checkup. Guests could also see through the plexiglass to view the interior of the back wall, where there was additional Facebook branding and privacy messaging.
The smaller side walls that are perpendicular to the flow of pedestrians also had messaging and UI branding that beckoned guests into the space. The back exterior wall facing traffic had a Facebook lockup so that those passing in traffic or on the opposite side of the street were aware that a Facebook activation is going on.
