The 2018 Forbes Healthcare Summit gathered healthcare’s most powerful people for candid and open discussion, and tackled controversial issues head-on. Held at the Jazz at Lincoln Center, this beautiful space provided opportunity to experiment with a high-impact staging backdrop. I branded and produced design collateral including name badges, way-finding signage, and agenda books.

BRANDING
We referenced 2017's design (created by Christina Kwiek) and repurposed the healthcare iconography used then. We modified the design to a limited color palette to focus on the main healthcare color, Red. For time efficiency (this event was closely after our Under 30 Summit), we pulled existing icons and tweaked them to better fit Forbes' brand. Typefaces used were Knockout and Open Sans.
STAGING
This is the first event where I personally researched and contacted vendors to handle our staging. Working with SurfaceGrooves, we brainstormed and produced a cost-effective staging that would be serve as Forbes branding for both photography and the live event. We created an illusion of staggering boxes for the main backdrop, however, the design only appeared on the front (the backside was hollow) as this helped reduce cost. Then iconography and color fills were cut out on plexiglass and placed on the backdrop to give a more three-dimensional feel.
